Go-Getters Agenda

Hi there! It's Maria and, perhaps, I don't work in Equipo de Investigació n but I'm the journalist this week.  First, I really want to tell you about Fantas-TIC Girl s blog, not only are they another group of this subject, but also our class mates and we think their Blog is really useful and inspiring. The design is amazing and everything is well organised and clearly presented, so please check it out clicking here . On the other hand, I wanted to recommend Code with Google , which I didn't know anything about until this week. Code with Google is a fantastic tool which offers lots of possibilities in order to integrate coding in education. Besides, it has some interesting areas for teachers, as a training section or resources. To make ir easier for our beloved readers I have come up with an amazing idea: sharing our agenda with you! It is an interactive picture in which you will find all the information related to Task 7 - and perhaps some other things. I hope you like...

Radio Analyzer

Evaluating my colleagues at the end of this week's activity has been very easy as all my colleagues are working efficiently, although this does not mean that the task has been easy to accomplish. My name is Santiago García-Purriños Martínez-Lozano and this is the analysis of the task number seven. Making a radio programme can sound complicated as our generation usually hardly listens to radio and that's why it took us a long time to structure the task, although we all thought it was fun. The most difficult part of the task was to find an application in which to do the podcast all at the same time adding sound effects but once we got it, everything went smoothly.  By carrying out this task we have learned many technological skills as we have used many computer programs to complete it, programs that in the future will undoubtedly serve us again. It has also tested our level of organisation and commitment as a group as seven people could be a challenge to org...

Facilitating the broadcasting

The end is close, but a few problems are still happening, and that's what we are going to deal with in this post.  This is Juan, the facilitator, if you are interested in the main challenges we have faced during this long and exhausting week, keep reading! To be honest, at first there weren't any problem: we were divided in small groups for selecting the activities in each category, so that we all could carry out them. Later on, a minor problem arose, as the host of the meeting was Cristina, we needed her access for recording part of our meeting. Also it was tricky to show how Santi, Antonio and me were working on our No-Technological Devices Activity  through the zoom recording, look at this: Answering the proposed questions was not really complicated because we had already worked with documents like the curriculum or the Bloom's Taxonomy. Once that was completed, we just had to wait until Monday for the instructions of the radio/podcast. The radio making process was full ...

Curator Task 7

Hello! I am Antonio, and on this Task 7 I have the role of Curator, let us commence forth Here you can find a image were i have done my Mind map explaining all the characteristics of the role I have done the Mind map with the app MIRO and upload it to drive so you can see it better. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JH2pDnn8QHjWX6egi_haY3DkqE3PbVmV/view?usp=sharing See you next week Antonio Aznar

Tune into Tic-chers in Progress

Hello everyone, We are Gema and Cristina and we are the stars this week for task 7. It has been an enjoyable task as we were able to try out coding for ourselves using fun activities on the Hour of Code website. There was dancing, cartoon characters and even one activity which didn't even require any electronic devices. Surprised? So were we. This task gave us the opportunity to put ourselves in the students shoes and experience coding for ourselves. Initially, we were a bit apprehensive about coding and weren't really sure about where to begin, but we soon got to grips with it and suddenly we were coding away and watching how we could manipulate the animated characters. It was great fun and we certainly had a few giggles along the way.  Following our initial investigation, we had to put together a radio program, preferably live, whereby we could transmit everything we had learnt from trying out these coding activities for kids. It took quite some time to organize the informati...

Time to translate

Hey there! As the translator this week, I am in charge of selecting the five concepts I consider to be more important from this task.  To do so, I have made a video where I explain what the concepts refer to.  The main ideas I have chosen are programming and coding because they are part of the digital competence we develop in this subject, both involved in the computational thinking . All these are related to the first part of the task where we tried tools and activities for children to code. From the second part of the task, I have chosen the radio since we had to do a radio program telling about our experience carrying out this seventh activity.  On the other hand, I am going to tell you about the weaknesses of our task, which I consider to be finding a tool to record the radio program that worked properly as we wanted to stay all live to do it as realistic as posible. That part was a bit hard since all the tools we knew only allowed one or two people to be interacting ...
