A retrospective of this week

Second Week Analysis Hello! As the analyst of this week, I have done a bit of a summary mixed with a reflexion of everything we have done this week. Even though things are not as chaotic as they used to be last week, believe it or not, we are still doing the last touches to the blog, for instance, Gema created two lists in which everybody will be able to see every post sorted out by Roles or by Weeks, you can see them just by following these two simple steps: First step Second step In order to avoid monotoneity in our blog, I have decided that I am going to present this week's analysis by a video created by me using Powtoon: If you would like to check the transcription of what I say in the video, check out this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oTsoiXffwAgYPumMqrrevMA6b0F4mYuD/view?usp=sharing Gema.

Review Post

T his is Week 1's Analysis and Reflection: This has been the first week and task of the course, what implied a new understanding of how things work, adapting ourselves and our previous organization to a new and bigger group, with more responsibilities to attend. Regarding the own activity we started last Tuesday during the online class, we were told what to do and how much time we had to accomplish it. Even tough most of us didn't have many experience working under such a limited amount of time, and stressed out thinking how to create an appropriate image for each slogan, we enjoyed the process and felt proud with the final result. In addition to that, we believe that the purpose of the task was not only to learn different perspectives of how teaching, learning and education is viewed or interpreted, but also to introduce a new way of working either individually and cooperatively. That is why we appreciate it, since in our future academic and professional life we will have to d...

The essential five

Week 1 Terminology During this first complete week working on the subject we learned new terms and theory so as the translator of the group, here we defined the most important terms we had studied along the week. The first important term we saw in class was the concept of learning, defined as the acquisition of knowledge or skills through study or experience. It is not new that when we are talking about academic learning we all think that the only way to learn a subject is studying but there are many other ways, not only memorizing. Another important term could be the concept of teaching, defined as ideas or principles taught by an authority or the occupation, profession, or work of a teacher. As future teachers our work first of all is to understand what is the meaning of teaching, only when we understand this we can complete our job so that is why it is very important to study this term during the subject. The concept of education is the most important term from our point of view, we...

Learning, teaching and education

Learning, teaching and education We start this adventure with these three words, words that are the basis of our future professional career. Our first task in the Resources and ICT course was to look for sentences that mean what we understand by these words. The next step was to illustrate the sentences creating some photographs. With imagination and creativity, we were able to carry out the task taking pictures of things we got at home or from ourselves and then we editted them as they are looking right now using ICT apps like Paint or Genial.ly. After that, we also created and Instagram account to upload as well the photographs. Follow the hashtag #rict2021 to be updated of everything we do! https://www.instagram.com/gogetters21/ The next step was to create a Padlet to upload them in order to let the rest of our classmates see them and make comments and reflextions about them, as we did with their photos and sentences. Here is the link to see the activity:   https://padlet.com/go...

Facilitating the week

First of all, this week has been very calm, meaning that there was not even a single problem related to any kind of conflict, in fact, each task and role was distributed randomly so that it was more fair for everyone. Every member of the group was assigned with a role; however, there is an exception in our group, because we are 7 people, meaning that 1 role must be repeated, the role that is distributed twice is the role of Star, we select that specific role because taking into account the exception, this role is perfect because it can be shared and even more detailed if we have two speakers instead of only one. Secondly, talking about our online spaces, you can find information about our projects on this blog, furthermore, we also have created an Instagram account, where you can find picture about us and more information about the tasks, here is the user: @gogetters21. To conclude I must say that this week everyone has worked on the project, meaning that there were barely any ...

References to reference

Hi there! It's Maria 😊 and I've been the curator during this first RICT week. In order to make it easier for you - and ourselves -  I have created a mind map with all the references of the main sources of information we have used to develop this first task. I hope you find it useful. Tu navegador no puede mostrar marcos. Visita Curator's post Week 1 APA References en MindMeister. Curator's post Week 1 APA References por Maria GMorata That's all folks!! A picture can speak a thousand words

Task 1: Conceptual Pictures A picture can speak a thousand words Have you ever looked at an image and automatically understood its meaning? This week we were challenged to take philosophical sayings regarding learning, education and teaching, and convert them into images using what we had to hand. Everyone in the group quickly brainstormed as much as possible and each person had one phrase which they had to think of an original image they could create. In the meantime, our tech-wizard Gema was creating our Instagram, blog and Padlet all at once. Santiago was creative and also edited our photos before uploading them. María had some great ideas and was thinking of different ways to incorporate a lemon for her bittersweet phrase and she had some quite hilarious inicial photos before gaining the final composition which perfectly fit the phrase by Aristotle. There is no doubt that creating the images at first seemed daunting but the creative juices started flowing as can be seen in our P...
