Learning, teaching and education

Learning, teaching and education

We start this adventure with these three words, words that are the basis of our future professional career. Our first task in the Resources and ICT course was to look for sentences that mean what we understand by these words. The next step was to illustrate the sentences creating some photographs. With imagination and creativity, we were able to carry out the task taking pictures of things we got at home or from ourselves and then we editted them as they are looking right now using ICT apps like Paint or Genial.ly.

After that, we also created and Instagram account to upload as well the photographs. Follow the hashtag #rict2021 to be updated of everything we do!

The next step was to create a Padlet to upload them in order to let the rest of our classmates see them and make comments and reflextions about them, as we did with their photos and sentences. Here is the link to see the activity:

In light of all the above, thanks to this task we have learnt not only general technological skills, such as creating a padlet or a blog; but also, and even more important, we have described the main crucial concepts of our future career: teaching, education and learning, as well as, very useful skills for working in teams, such as relying and developing a sense of trust toward our teammates. Lastly, a vital skill that we are bound to need is learning how to sploit our creativity in such a short period of time.

Translating the Task

Good morning to all and welcome to the home stretch! I am Santiago García-Purriños and I will be the translator this week. I will select the five concepts that I consider most important during the development of this task number nine. The first concept that I consider important is the meaning of frameworks, it is a kind of library, a piece of software that provides web developers with a code base and consistent, standardised ways to create web applications. Throughout this task, pedagogical knowledge has also played an important role. Pedagogical knowledge consists of adapting the specialised knowledge of teachers for creating effective teaching. Technological pedagogical content knowledge is a framework for understanding and describing the types of knowledge a teacher needs for effective pedagogical practice in a technology-enhanced learning environment. Education is a field where digital content has become increasingly popular as well as necessary. Professionals in this field are rea...

Curator Post

Hey! This is Juan, this week's curator.  For my weekly post I have gathered and created the APA style references of the different resources used along the week. You will find them in the following mind map I have done. On it, you will also see a slight view at the process of the activity.  Click here to see the mind map in its original website

Star(ing) to the finish line

Hii! It is Gema and Elena, the stars of the last week ☹️ First and foremost, if you would like to check our infography, please click here! Throughout this week, the whole group has pitched in to create an infography about the main competences for the Digital World.  To be honest, the presentation didn't go as bad as we initially thought it was going to be, in fact, we managed to explain all the items and our classmates actually understood it very well, which actually pleased us a lot. Actually, it is nice to leave with a nice memory of this week as we have put plenty of effort to our weekly tasks (not just this one). Just in case you are not familiar with this model we let you here a very brief explanation and reflection about what is it and its importance for teachers. Almost all frameworks emphasize the use of technology, restricted to teaching in the conventional classroom, and the ethical and social aspects only from the legal use of technology or security. After reading the do...
