Khan Academy & ethics

Hello! I am Juan In this post you will see how Khan Academy is evaluated in terms of the tool itself (functionality, accessibility, pedagogical use...) as well as its privacy policy and services for any user. But, first things first, what is Khan Academy? Well you should know that it is a free tool for self learning supported by many professionals in different knowledge fields, especially mathematics from any level or discipline, computer sciences like programming and so on. Even though you can use it by yourself, it also offers the option of creating an online classroom, so it can be also used for supporting your own lessons as a teacher. For the evaluation of the tool has been used 2 resources, a rubric which you can find in this link , and in the following info-graphic created with the information provided by  Common Sense .  Check the full evaluation by Common Sense  here . Thanks for your attention!

ClassDojo & ethics

Hi there! It's María on board 😏 During this looong "week" - we are in our Easter break - we are working on ethics in ICT tools.  The tool I have chosen to be reviewed is  ClassDojo , which is decribed as communication app for the classroom by Common Sense 's website. On the other hand,  it is a useful way for teachers to manage his/her classes and to connect them with parents, who are informed about their children performances. Also students can participate and interact, which might engage them during the teaching and learning process. Moreover, it has some setting options so it can be adapted to the characteristics and necessities of every group. In order to analyse ClassDojo properly, we are using two different rubrics: Below you will be able to check how this tool has been rated in Common Sense education ’s website; if you want to find out a more detailed evaluation click here :     In addition, click here so you can find a two-documents folder...

Tech Support / Help Availability Minor concerns (Technical support and help documentation is av...

Ready, Steady, Stars!

Hello everyone, We are Maria and Cristina, the stars of Task 4 this week. Let us give you a summary of how we went about doing this task. Firstly, we all had a look through the book and activities before meeting on zoom, so as to have an idea of the different activities. We all met up on zoom and discussed the activities which had most caught our attention and debated the pros and cons of those ones. We narrowed it down to two activities, one being the Ready, Steady, Cook. This task proposed the idea of preparing a typical dish and we thought about the Spanish omelette. Within no time, we were discussing what ingredients we could change or add, and I think some of us were getting hungry just at the thought it. We discussed ingredients from caramelized onion to chocolate, and we finally agreed on our 7 ingredients. We had decided our task and we started to answer the questions given to us in Task 4.  Secondly, we looked into the best way to document the task whether it should be vid...
