Good morning to all and welcome to the home stretch!
I am Santiago García-Purriños and I will be the translator this week. I will select the five concepts that I consider most important during the development of this task number nine.
The first concept that I consider important is the meaning of frameworks, it is a kind of library, a piece of software that provides web developers with a code base and consistent, standardised ways to create web applications.
Throughout this task, pedagogical knowledge has also played an important role. Pedagogical knowledge consists of adapting the specialised knowledge of teachers for creating effective teaching. Technological pedagogical content knowledge is a framework for understanding and describing the types of knowledge a teacher needs for effective pedagogical practice in a technology-enhanced learning environment.
Education is a field where digital content has become increasingly popular as well as necessary. Professionals in this field are realising how students of any age, even people being trained in corporate materials, can now store all their content on e-readers and tablets. In the past, the use of pen and paper was unavoidable, as was the need to buy a book for each subject, but that has changed. Nowadays you can have a PDF of the whole book without having to pay for it and instead of a notebook, you can have a Google Drive document. This advance considered as an evolution in education means an increase in the comfort of the student as well as being more economical.
The fourth term that, as a translator, I considered necessary to know is one that we have already seen very well, given its importance, nothing more and nothing less than TPACK. Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge is the core of the teacher's digital competence as a content expert, for example, the ability to see how, through the creation of plans with online tools, it is possible to articulate teaching strategies that allow students to understand geometric relations. It is, in short, a body of knowledge that spans multiple disciplines and must be applied in concrete situations in order to teach effectively with technologies. The teacher must know how to manage his or her knowledge in such a way that this interaction leads to a real improvement in the quality of teaching, integrating the three areas described above.
The ICT tools means to digital infrastructures like computers, laptops, printers, scanners, software programs, data projectors, and interactive teaching box. ICT toolshave increased and diversified the possibilities of communication, schools and teachers are in many cases contributing not only to improving communication and collaboration, but also reducing the digital gap by providing access to school ICT resources or training and awareness-raising opportunities, especially in the most underprivileged areas.
This has been my role as translator during Task 9, I hope you enjoyed it and thank you very much for your attention. I hope to see you soon, best regards
