Zoom & Ethics

During this Easter vacation, each member of the group has been assigned to evaluate different learning tools necessary for the academic environment. My name is Santi and today I am here to evaluate the Zoom tool.

In January 2020 practically nobody knew about this tool founded in 2011, but everything changed during the lockdown, schools, colleges and universities needed to find a way to teach from home in the most comfortable and efficient possible way and that's where Zoom comes in. Zoom's functionality is very simple, a software that creates online calls by activating the video and even screen sharing functions.

Unlike many other programs of this style, Zoom does not put your personal data at risk and it is also very easy to access this program, just Google it and you have the official page with a download link. It also has a mobile version that is just as good but even more practical since it allows you to access the class wherever you are.

In this graphic from https://www.welivesecurity.com/la-es/2020/04/24/aumento-archivos-maliciosos-utilizan-nombre-apps-videoconferencias/ we can see how fast Zoom became more popular thanks to COVID-19

Curator Post

Hey! This is Juan, this week's curator.  For my weekly post I have gathered and created the APA style references of the different resources used along the week. You will find them in the following mind map I have done. On it, you will also see a slight view at the process of the activity.  Click here to see the mind map in its original website
